The business is led by Sundeep Bains, who has a long-standing connection to Southampton and a practical, commercially grounded approach to investment and development.

Prior to this, he worked as a corporate lawyer and board level advisor within the media and technology sectors for over 15 years, and continues to maintain selective involvement in advisory roles with early-stage businesses and private investment platforms, both in the UK and internationally.

As a private family office, Manderley Homes adopts a long-term perspective across its activities, combining commercial discipline with a broader sense of responsibility towards the communities in which it invests.

We are not focused on short-term transactions. Our approach is to identify assets and schemes that can be improved, delivered properly and operated to a high standard over time.

Manderley Homes is supported by a long-standing network of professional advisors across planning, architecture and development delivery. We maintain long-standing relationships with commercial property consultants and chartered surveyors.

This includes Knight Consulting, an established architectural and planning practice with over 25 years’ experience across residential and mixed-use development.

Knight Consulting has been involved in a wide range of schemes across the South of England, including residential development, building repurposing and student accommodation.

The practice has submitted several thousand planning applications and maintains strong working relationships across local authorities, planning consultants, commercial agents and development stakeholders.

Its wider experience includes work for institutional and commercial organisations, including major landowners and development operators.

Knight Consulting is acting as lead planning and development consultant on current projects, supporting the business across planning strategy, design coordination and delivery.

This advisory structure reflects the practical way in which Manderley Homes approaches projects — with experienced input from the outset and a clear focus on execution.

This includes support for charitable and community-focused initiatives, together with the development of the 1OSB Foundation, established in memory of one of our founders, Mr Opkar Bains.

The Foundation is focused on supporting young people through education, opportunity and wider community initiatives, both locally and internationally.
